Mother Earth Father Sky

Yes Lord I am listening to you say more to me about the Mother Earth/Father Sky approach. From what I have learned from my catechism classes, Mother is Mater or matter, the physical things of the earth. Father is Pater or pattern, the one who provides the blueprint for forming the matter.

The question I have is why is there such a push against Father Sky or at least an ignoring of Him right now? Does the push to embrace, understand, love, protect, etc. Mother Earth have to negate, ignore or in some cases even be hostile to Father Sky?

Lord Jesus, I ask you to enlighten me and give me listening ears and a listening face towards my daughter and all the strong women in my life that love Mother Earth so much and seemingly ignore Father Sky or refuse speak of You. There is much fear I sense here, afraid of previous abuses perhaps? Afraid Father Sky is NOT to be trusted since His followers have treated mothers at all levels so poorly.

It seams to me that the ancient reverence for Mother Church, Mary should indicate a warmth and love towards motherliness on all levels by at least part of the Church. It seems that at least parts of the flock 'gets it'… the importance of Mother Earth, motherliness, nurturing…

Very much looking forward to seeing old friends… Lord Jesus give me a kind listening face and open ears. Help me to draw out what others love and are interested in and encourage the gifts I find that you have given them today.

Thank you Lord that I was able to go to mass today on the day that we remember the annunciation.

Yes the earth is mother, matter, in fact in a way all created things are connected and are mother to you. This is a good understanding. And Mother Earth produced The Quintessential Mother, Mary the Mother of God, the Star Gate, The Divine Ladder of ascent and descent, the Mountain of the Lord, the Ark of the Covenant, The Mercy Seat, and so many other beautiful metaphors that describe Her, Heaven and Earth are united in Her and Her Son Jesus. The Quintessential Mother Earth is also the Queen of Heaven. Heaven and Earth have united. The completion and unity of all things has begun.

She is the Star Gate and I did pass through Her and she opened the way, the portal is open because of Her, I have her DNA, without it the Portal would close. I have become everywhere present and filling all things because of Her and with Her permission. Her 'let it be' changed the universe.

On Purgation

…purgation/cleansing is in many Christian songs about the after life. Amy Grant combines fire, water, and wind. You all use the earth (burial) to cleanse the stench of death from necessity. So the four elements have always rose up to aid you in your passage into the afterlife, no? Every reference to earth, wind, water and fire… These are agents of cleansing/purging impurities. There is no fear in this, you have simply moved away from such natural understandings in your world so that when you see it as a doctrine in church that is more connected to that naturalness, it seems strange to you. Do not let it trouble you, all will be made clear by my Spirit who leads you into all truth.

Surrendering Outcomes and Giving Up Control

Listening is an act of love…

You tried to listen to what I was saying about your sponsee and then relay that to him. You did a loving thing by speaking my heart of love to him. Now leave the outcomes of that action to me. Leaving the outcomes of your acts of love and hope to me is what faith is, you trust Me to multiply and grow those good seeds you've sown. This understanding of what it means to trust me needs to be emphasized with those in recovery especially. You must move from trusting in your own mechanisms to get results to finding the next loving thing to do and then letting it go, completely trusting me to weave the results of that action into something more beautiful than you ever could if you had tried to manipulate and control it, to make sure it was understood and took root… No. That is my domain and you should not tread there with your thoughts, words or actions. You must leave space for my Spirit to move, don't crowd the Master Painter as his brush strokes fall, don't bump his elbow or force his hand, allow my Holy Spirit to paint as He will, stand back and watch Me work until you are called on to speak my love again. Your actions and words of love are the paint and perhaps the brush but you are not the painter, I am.

Put on your listening ears again and speak my love to your sponsee tonight if I call you to, otherwise just listen and leave space for me to work as he relays his story to you. Just listening is an action of love. (Yes, like your friend Ted) In fact, do this with everyone you encounter today.

I have never forgotten Ted's patient, loving and listening face. Why has that stayed with me so long? Where did he learn to do that? Perhaps I should ask him. I'm thinking it was his father. I see that face in so many of my friends and family. It is more noticeable in some than others. I want to convey the listening face of love as well, like you Jesus. I want your loving, listening face. I always want to be trusting that your goodness is in everyone somewhere and fanning that spark to flame when I see it however Your Spirit moves me to do it.

I want you to put on your listening ears and face every day and every encounter during your journey. Trust me to help you listen to me and others. Draw out the light and liquid gold you find there and show it to them with all thanksgiving to the Father of lights who bestows such gifts upon men and women. Truly be interested in their affairs and speak lovingly of what they do that is admirable, look around the obstacles to see the sources of light and love in their lives and affirm them and praise God for them.

Additionally, no cross talk. Don't speak of your visions unless prompted by them or clearly by me. I love you, abide in me and remember we are united you and I.

The Matrix in Slow Motion

(Notice this is all bold text, aka Papa speaking to Seb - Leeloo)

In the Matrix Neo had to take the death blow in order to get inside the enemy did he not? Only from the inside could he eradicate the virus that was Smith. The movie depicts it as all happening in seconds, the punch, the absorption of Neo into Smith, the look of horror on Smith's face as he realizes he has just sealed his own doom, the light of Neo's power beginning to burst through little fissures in all the Smith Viruses, the explosive destruction of all those viruses, the resetting and renewal of the entire Matrix, all of it only took a minute or two in the movie. Such is the nature of prophetic vision. It has disregard for how things play out in earth time. In earth time the actual growing of the light through the fissures in the virus has thus far taken nearly 2000 years, though the look of horror on Smith's face is growing daily and he fights ever harder to hold his kingdom together. His doom is sealed though he will fight it to the bitter end. The children of the Light will triumph and through them I make all things new. Through every crack and brokenness my mercy will flood and burst through with healing light. Darkness will die by being overwhelmed with light forever.

All the Agent Smiths exploding in an instant once Neo the anti-virus took effect…
Jesus is doing the same thing in the cosmos in a slightly more measured fashion

Light shines through the cracks of our brokenness.

The Opposite of Star Wars

NOT!!!!

My feelings cannot be trusted. This is not Star Wars. Not in that way. I must take actions because they are loving whether I feel like it or not. Whether or not my feelings follow is at best an event I view as a bemused spectator.

My actions are Thomas the tank engine and my feelings are the caboose not the other way around. I trust Jesus to lead me into loving actions, he is my engineer in the train analogy and keeps me on the right tracks. If the caboose follows during any particular loving action, I am to be mildly amused, but not obsess over it either way.

I think this is what the monks and nuns call detachment. It isn't that I have no feelings or don't care. It is simply not allowing my feelings and emotions to lead me around by grabbing my metaphorical nose ring or promoting themselves from caboose to engineer.

I say to my feelings in calming tones "Jesus tells me where to go and what to do, not you anymore. He is trustworthy and you are not."

Drink This, Not That

Papa, You gave me this image this morning as I was longing for consolation…

I sensed You saying, I am the living water, drink from Me and you will never thirst again. I am the Bread of Life, consume Me and you will never hunger again. But this is a continual eating and drinking. Every time you are tempted to get grace, comfort or love from another source, feast on Me. I am the only Infinite Source of Life.

This thread runs throughout scripture and manifests itself in other metaphors as well.
My grace, My Love in action, My Divine Mercy are descriptions of this idea.
I am the Bread of Life, The Living Water, Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity.
You are to allow all of these to come and abide in you, to cleanse you and to save you and they are all to flow out of you and into others. I give the gift of myself to you to pour into other's lives.

I then tweaked my 7th step prayer by adding:

To Thou who art the living water, I give my refusal to drink only Thee.
To Thou who art the bread of life, I give my refusal to consume only Thee.
To Thou who art the Heavenly King, I give my refusal to bow to Thy will.
To Thou who art The Comforter, I give my refusal to seek comfort from only Thee.
To Thou who art the Spirit of Truth, I trust Thee alone to take my hand and lead me.
To Thou who art everywhere present, I give my feelings of aloneness.
To Thou who fillest all things, I give my emptiness.
To Thou who holdest the world in His hands, I place my life firmly in them.

O Heavenly King, O Comforter, The Spirit of Truth, 

Who art everywhere present and fillest all things, 

The treasury of good things and the giver of life, 

Come and abide in us, cleanse us from every stain, 

And save our souls O Good One. Amen.

Illuminated by the Holy Spirit, All-Glorious One, 

from Christ the Savior you drank the water of salvation. 

With open hand you give it to those who thirst.

The Great I AM Tells Me Who I am

Lord who dost Thou say that I am?
And what hast Thou given me to give to them?

I have made you among other things, a dot connector, a pattern finder and a puzzle solver, in short, a seer. Use your giftedness in pulling seemingly disparate things together into a cohesive whole to help others reconcile with one another and me. Like Me you are a reconciler because you share My Spiritual DNA.

Another gift I have given you is my Divine Mercy. As you plunge into its holy stream of light daily, breathe it in and then breathe it out like Aslan's breath upon all around you. As you use your gifts, let my mercy color all you do for the sake of others.

I have made you a puzzle solver, and this gift serves you well as you fix things and perfect systems. It can also serve you well as you advise and council others, however people are infinitely more complex than things and therefore great humility and reliance on the Holy Spirit must be exercised especially during these moments. You will be tempted to think you can see a solution and want to help them apply it only to find many layers of problems not easily dealt with. You will be tempted to speak instead of listen and pray and rely on Us to show you what needs to be said if anything.

Use this gift with great fear and trembling with people. Always remember that saying nothing out loud while silently praying is the first option. Active listening to Me and them may also be helpful to focus the lens. But the less you speak the more I can be heard. Leave room for Our still small voice.

Lord I am so grateful to hear your voice this morning. Not my will but Thine, Not my strength but Thine, I trust in Thee as I step into the day Thou hast given me, help me in mine unbelief. Amen.

I have begun using this simple prayer as I strive to listen to You in the morning Lord:

Lord Jesus Christ have mercy on me
Jesus I'm completely trusting Thee
Lord who dost Thou say that I am
And what hast Thou given me to give to man?

Today I heard you say briefly in the din of my disordered mind:

I have made you a snippet rememberer. You are gifted at recall of song lyrics, snatches of poetry, literature, scripture, sermons, blogs, theology, movie dialogue and visuals, iconography, melodies, and the like. Your mind quickly organizes these in diverse arrays, ever shifting them about looking for connective patterns. I've given you a very active mind so do not despise it but train it into usefulness. I will teach you to quiet it down so it can serve you well without distracting you from the task at hand. Trust me to help you do this.

Lord I believe, help me in mine unbelief.

Couldn't seem to shut the world up today. Couldn't hear what Jesus was trying to say. But then later, I almost heard Him explaining the relationship between my tendencies to blast people with monologue and my gifts to see connections.

When I see a connection or a pattern I want to share it with others, to connect with them and get the joy of having another see what I see. When I experience a new or deeper connection to God or others, I almost cannot contain my enthusiasm… I want to tell everyone about it. These are not bad things in themselves.

However, I must learn to put others and their needs first. I must learn to be outwardly silent, inwardly receptive and pray to God when I'm with others:

Lord Jesus Christ have mercy on me
Jesus I'm completely trusting Thee
Lord who dost Thou say that they are
And what hast Thou given them to give to all?

Perhaps then I can listen with empathy and love. Perhaps then if God wills it I can share with them what He tells me about who He says they are and what their gifts may be to share with others.

But I must listen to them first… Allow them space to be and express themselves. It is my job to keep that space open instead of filling it with my words and thoughts. To be listening to God and others more then speaking to them or trying to gain their acceptance, approval, agreement, praise, etc.

I have made you compassionate and empathetic. In the past this vexed you at times as you treated it as an all access pass into other's heads and then attempted to control what you thought they might be thinking.

From now on use your gift differently. Involve Me for only I truly know the inner workings of others. Ask me about them and their gifts and I will guide you if there is any need to speak lovingly into that space, the space you have created by quietly listening to them speak and listening intently to My interpretation of it.

I have made you a reader/cantor/singer/bard, like myself who was the same in the synagogues of my day. This is why The Singer Trilogy, The Tune, The Pendragon Cycle (which illustrated the ancient bardic mythology), Tolkien, Lewis and chanting… have been so electrifying and life giving for you. They all draw on this singing/chanting/reading The Divine Archetype (The True Myth, Myself) into images and words that I designed humans to respond to with ease.

Trust me to give you opportunities to use this gift to bless others as indeed you already have. Perhaps the stories, monologues and dialogues that have touched you should be recorded and shared.

You are responsive. At times you respond deeply to what people say and things that happen around you. It is often with great joy, enthusiasm and wonder. I love that you allow yourself to be moved and your attitude that "it may be the voice of My Spirit in which case you'd better hear it".

Of course it is easy to over respond. But learning the balance between staying detached so as not to control or manipulate someone and responding to what they are saying with empathy is difficult to learn for you. Do not let your struggles in this area trouble you for I will gently guide you to learn this balance. Do not be abashed by the scolding of your wife regarding this for I have given her a gift of understanding in this area, and she cautions you from a heart of loving concern to leave people space to speak and express themselves, to leave what they are saying uncluttered for a moment before responding with your joyous enthusiasm. Perhaps the "no crosstalk" rule from your recovery meetings should be in force when someone else is speaking at least for a while until you learn this balance.

I have given You myself and my peace, pass my peace and good will to others. Let my grace, love, divine mercy and living water overflow from you and splash onto all you encounter to the degree that they are willing to receive it. Don't force it on them, simply allow it to overflow into them if they are willing to receive it. If you are not sure if they are willing, ask them first.

Genuinely ask:

"Are you willing to consider a thought I have on this?"
"Do you want to know what I think about this?"
"Would you like to chat about this?"

Then wait for their answer and respect their wishes with grace.

If yes, give a thought or two without explanation. And then allow them to decide if you want to explain it further. Give them time to pause and reflect first and then ask them if they want to explore it further. Again, respect their wishes with kindness and grace.

The joy and healing I fill you with will not be received well by some. It isn't for you to persuade them to want to listen. That is the Work of My Holy Spirit and you must let Me do My work.

Allow me to overflow through you gently. Trust me to give such opportunities and do not force them on your own.

I have given you a love for beauty. Your love for music, iconography, natural wonders, in fact beauty in all its forms points to Me. Your love for gazing on My face in the icon of Mt. Sinai monastery is also indicative of the fact that you have found the source of beauty in me. Do not inhibit this love I have given you for myself and all things beautiful.

At the same time, do not allow acquisitiveness of beautiful objects to control you. Submit all such purchases to My will and timing. Stick closely to your sobriety definition for binge buying and submit to Me and your sponsor and your wife on these matters.

This morning I sensed Jesus telling me to review what He had already spoken to my heart. I did so, highlighting the bits I sensed were from Him directly in my Journal entries from 1/19/16 forward. There was so much comfort and beauty and truth there, I will return often to listen again and again to His kind words of love and gentle instruction. Praise to You Lord Jesus Christ!

You are a warrior in training. You are learning to pick up the weapons of our warfare which are not carnal and deal deft and precise blows which are effective. You are learning to submit to my will, and respond to me as I teach you to respond in various battles with fear, lust, resentment and quarrelsomeness.

You are also learning to train others to do the same and you are finding much joy there. These are all gifts I am continually giving you and you are sharing them well with others. Keep relying on Me, for I am your strong right arm, your strength and fortress, and your vision.

Thank you Lord, Be Thou my vision!!

You are one who resonates and responds to truth when you hear it. It moves you deeply whenever and wherever you find it, especially the truth about faith, hope and love. Tears well up in your soul because of the beauty of it all and they leak out of your eyes. Do not be ashamed of this for I have put the Spirit of Truth in you and it is He who is moving you this way. Share this deep response for the love of truth, beauty, faith, hope and love itself with those that will receive it. I will guide you as you do. Trust Me to do so for We are One this Spirit and I.
